We wanted to visit Underwater World [tag]Langkawi[/tag] but the pricey entrance fee, RM28 per person made us change our mind. Moreover, we have already visited the nicest marine showcase in Malaysia, Aquaria KLCC. So, we decided to visit other tourist attractions located along the way back to Kuah town.

After returning from the tiring Island Hopping trip, we had lunch in “Rasa” Restaurant located along Pantai Cenang.
“Rasa” is a coffee house themed restaurant serving both Western and Eastern food. We surveyed the area for food before deciding to dine here. Other restaurants were either serving Malay food or too pricey. It’s not like we are against Malay food, just that we didn’t feel like having nasi lemak for lunch. “Rasa” restaurant’s menu is extensive and descriptive, with over 30-40 dishes available.

Next morning, a van picked us up from our motel to a nearby beach to board a speedboat for the [tag]Island Hopping[/tag] package we purchased. It cost RM35 per pax, including transportation. It is worth mentioning that Island Hopping is a very common activity in [tag]Langkawi[/tag] that almost every resort/motel offers it. The only difference is the price that they quote you, some as high as RM60.
Island hopping is a term that has several different definitions as it is applied in various fields. Generally, the term refers to the means of crossing an ocean by a series of shorter journeys between islands, as opposed to a single journey directly across the ocean to the destination.

I have asked a colleague of mine to recommend me a nice beach in [tag]Langkawi[/tag] and his answer was [tag]Tanjung Rhu[/tag]. I believed him because he grew up in Alor Setar and frequented Langkawi in his childhood (of course I did some research first too
)
Pantai Tanjung Rhu
Located near the top of northeast corner of Langkawi, Pantai Tanjung Rhu is much more secluded and exclusive. Famous for its beautiful beaches with emerald green waters Pantai Tanjung Rhu is one of those places you go when you want to get away from it all. For those staying in this area there are several tourist attractions to visit.
