Malaysia Food Blog, Malaysia Travel Blog

BM Kia says..
As I read through my blog posts for 2008, I found most of them are restaurant related reviews. I think this is deviating from my original purpose of food blogging, which is to discover and promote local foods, especially hawker fares. If not, it wouldn't be fit to be called "Malaysia Food Blog" So, my main aim of blogging for year 2009 would be to continue to do what I actually enjoyed the most - to travel, discover and promote cheap and tasty food.

Tea Spa Hutan Rimba (Revisit)

Posted by: vkeong In: Bukit Mertajam| Food and Drink| Penang () (4 views)

Tea Spa Hutan Rimba is a small tea house in Hutan Lipur Bukit Mertajam, or more commonly known as Cherok Tokun. I mentioned this tea house not long ago in a short post introducing Cherok Tokun.

This is a nice place to spend your Sunday mornings with your family and friends. It is surrounded in lush forest, quiet and cooling. Perfect spot for a game of chess and cards. As the name implies, Tea Spa Hutan Rimba provides a wide selection of tea to choose from. But since I am not really into tea.. I just came here for breakfast before jungle trekking. Each herbal tea egg costs RM1.00, the eggs are very fragrant after being boiled with herbs and tea leaves. From far, it smelled almost like Bak Kut Teh :P

If eggs are not enough, try the Teow Chew Fried Mee @ RM1.00. Other food available include sweet potato, kolo mee, peanut/coconut buns, peanuts and melon seeds. None of the food is intended for full meals, more like tidbits while enjoying your yam char session ;)

Hi there! I found your blog after checking my blog’s inbound links. You didn’t tell me you linked me ;) and I feel so bad for not linking you back. Okay, just added your blog! Hehe and thanks for the interesting link name to my blog, “A Malaysian Stuck In Singapore”.

My mom’s extended family resides in BM! And I’m going there soon… perhaps in a week’s time? I miss Penang food anyway :D
Have a nice day!

P.S. And how should I address you?
