Pulasan Fruit
When I was shopping in Carrefour this afternoon, I saw something very familiar in the fruits section which looked like rambutan. Then I remembered reading about this fruit in MalaysiaBest. Recalling how tasty they were as described by Lilian, I bought 7 of them @ RM2.54.
These are Pulasan a.k.a. Poolasan fruits. From what I read in the Internet, Pulasan is a close relative of rambutan. The pulasan’s skin is almost twice as thick as rambutan’s and the ‘hairs’ are shorter and rubber soft. Besides, a pulasan’s size is close to 3 rambutans, tastes sweeter and the flesh does not stick to the seed.
