Songshan Bird’s Nest
We all know that bird’s nest is a very expensive delicacy for its nutritional values and benefits to our health. Women consume it for beauty, men consume it for enhancing libido while older people for health purposes obviously. But for first class poor people like me, I can only afford to consume instant bird’s nest. Even instant bird’s nest can be classified into high and low grades. The main difference between them would be the amount of bird’s nest in each small bottle. For those who can afford, you can get Brand’s bird’s nest at RM88.00. For me, well I can only afford Songshan’s priced below RM15. When chilled, it’s a very cooling drink. Well I still prefer Polleney’s canned bird’s nest because it tastes better and had more bird’s nest, that you can actually chew.

You’ll be surprised, these things contain hardly any REAL birds nest in them. Simply consists of sugar and white fungus. Occasionally they add gelatine, a similar texture to bird’s nest.
