Malaysia Food Blog, Malaysia Travel Blog

BM Kia says..
As I read through my blog posts for 2008, I found most of them are restaurant related reviews. I think this is deviating from my original purpose of food blogging, which is to discover and promote local foods, especially hawker fares. If not, it wouldn't be fit to be called "Malaysia Food Blog" So, my main aim of blogging for year 2009 would be to continue to do what I actually enjoyed the most - to travel, discover and promote cheap and tasty food.

BBQ Chicken Wings

Mention BBQ Chicken Wings, and most likely the song ‘siu kai yik, ngo zhui zhong yi sek‘ sang by Stephen Chow will come to mind. Well if you don’t understand the Cantonese lyrics, it means ‘bbq chicken wings, I like to eat the most’ :D

There’s a stall in Kepong which is quite famous within the area. Coincidentally it is located within the same food court as the Kam Heong lala I posted a while ago. The name of the stall is ‘Hung Kei‘ and has been on the newspaper before (it says Hung Kei has been in the business for more than 30 years)

Anyway a pair costs RM3.80, quite reasonable right? The wings are bigger too compared to the usual. The chicken wings’ honey coated skin is grilled to perfection. So nice, so crunchy.. very recommended!

Rarely try out bbq chicken wings these days. I just knew that the one in Taman Equine not nice. I still prefer the one I ate during my younger days. It’s located along the Chai Leng Park’s WaiSikKai, somewhere in the middle of the street. I like the chicken wings there very much, and the chilli sauce too.
