BBQ Seafood Buffet Part 2
ATTENTION! Due to many complaints received in my blog’s comments on G Hotel’s BBQ Seafood Dinner, please be informed vkeong.com no longer recommends this. From my experience it was fine but many people complained about the food quality, variety and some even complained of discomfort after that. So all G Hotel BBQ Seafood related posts will serve only as a reference for the food you will find there. I regret any bad experiences you’ve had if you went for the buffet after viewing my blog. Thank you.
The seafood counter is actually only one third of the restaurant area. The other two being the dessert counter I have blogged earlier and local cuisine. So lets take a closer look at the seafood first.
I am guessing that the prawns are cook by either steaming or boiling them. There are also mussels, fresh oysters, crabs and crab salad served with fish roe.
Raw salmon is placed in a separate container. I didn’t dare to take this lol, I am still having phobia towards salmon. Anyway I did try a small piece and found it to be sweet and very fresh. But that’s really the limit for me lol.
Some sort of squid cake that can usually be found while eating steamboat. Here it is fried and topped with sweet sour sauce. Nothing spectacular really.
This is another version of the dish, but covered with mayonaise instead.
This was my first plate of buffet that night, a few prawns, oyster and mussel. It was my second attempt at raw oyster in my life. A friend of mine told me that oysters are the most expensive and worth to eat in buffet. So I tried to follow his advice. Luckily the oysters were really fresh and I quite enjoyed it.
More oysters
The salad crabs look nice and tempting but the taste is not that good. It’s sourish with a bit of crab meat and fruit chunks. It’s really a creative way of representing the dish using the shells though. Yeah there’s still no photos of the BBQ seafood yet, they will appear in the next post, promise ![]()
