The food in Dragon-I are fairly delicious. Perhaps they are pricy because of the environment and the chefs are imported. The selections of steam rice are actually quite reasonable when relatively compared to other items in the menu. A bowl of "Dan Dan" Handmade Ramen already costs RM 12 or so.

Have not been to Dragon-I for some time mainly due to the price.

"Ding Tai Fung" is another restaurant which offers a wide variety, yummy dim sum and noodles/rice. It used to be located at SS2 but now relocated at Mid Valley, new wing.

Shen's last blog post..One Sunny Day

vk: i know the ding tai fung you speak of, however it seems to be different from the one we have beside queensbay mall.. Maybe just a coincidence of name? I don't really know, lol. I have to agree with you about the steam rice though.. 1 serving and it can fulfill even the hungriest men!

[...] Pork Dumplings in Beef Soup - very normal only, nothing to write home about. During my entire meal I have been paying attention to how the restaurant was run. The design, although nice is not practical. There’s only one way in and out of the kitchen. Worse still, there was a wall blocking the kitchen’s sight. I have witnessed many incidents where the waiters kept running into each other when delivering foods. If they are not careful enough, they would surely drop and waste the food. The staff are pretty clumsy too, every other minute you’d hear something break.. which reminded me of Queensbay’s Dragon-I. [...]

Haha, you are right about the high pricing...someone has to pay for the rental at Queensbay and all those beautiful wooden containers, and as you said the clumsy waiters and waitresses. LOL.

Yeah.. Some restaurants really have clumsy waiters/waitresses. Another one would be Fong Lye at Midvalley Gardens, 3 broken plates in 20 minutes span.. The design of the restaurant is the main problem, entrance n exit at the same place, sure will langgar lah

LOL, drooling here and envy you guys who are so lucky to eat fresh food. I would probably have to buy the frozen ones and steam them. They don't have much ingredients for the filing too.

Yeah totally agree, to get fresh ones we still need to go to restaurants. But the frozen ones are quite good to satisfy the cravings a little sometimes

i thought the two places r around the same price range? if not how to compete since they both sell xiu long baos?

find the xiu long bao in dragon i slightly more consistent then ding tai fung..but then again i love the one at jw marriott starhill..

Oh my, JW Marriott's siu long pao, my gf ate there b4. She agrees with you, that's the one she loves the most. Actually if compare siu long pao ding tai feng n dragon-i's price are almost the same. But for main dishes, ding tai feng's is cheaper a lot.
