Today is the 31st. So, Baskin Robbins is giving out 31% discounts on hand-packed ice creams! Went to Alamanda Putrajaya earlier this afternoon to get hold of the great offer.
We had a pint (350gm) of Baskin Robbins ice cream consisting of Chocolate Mousse Royale and Jamoca Almond Fudge flavors. My favorite flavor Peanut Butter ‘n Chocolate was finished Just FYI on the flavors we chose, taken from Baskin Robbins’ website:
- Jamoca® Almond Fudge – We combine our Jamoca® (coffee) ice cream with a chocolate fudge ribbon and roasted almonds for a combination that’s been a classic
- Chocolate Mousse Royale® -Milk Chocolate mousse ice cream combined with chocolate flakes. Introduced in 1981.
Yumm.. chocolate + coffee.. tastes like mocha lol. Those chocolate flakes and roasted almonds goes damn well with the ice creams!
I hope they will extend the offer to the rest of the menu like banana split, sundaes and beverages. If they really do that, that heavenly looking banana split would be the first on to eat list lol.
A pint costs RM23.50, after 31% discount it’s RM16.20. After including the government tax it would total up to RM17. It’s quite a nice indulgence for once in a while, don’t you think? So, did you have [tag]Baskin Robbins[/tag] [tag]ice cream[/tag] today? It’s still not too late to take advantage of the offer now, go go go!
This mee goreng stall along Gurney Drive is a recommendation based on RasaRasa.net’s Penang Food guide book. I don’t have a copy of the book though, it was borrowed from a friend. Referred as “Penang Famous Edgecumbe Road Mee Rebus/Mee Goreng“, I just had to seek out this stall and see how much truth the claim holds.
Citrawarna – Colours Of Malaysia 2008 was held yesterday 24th May in Dataran Putrajaya. Citrawarna is an annual [tag]event[/tag] showcasing Malaysian arts, traditions and culture via performances, dances and music. The event has always been shown on live telecast but I have never imagined myself catching it live in Putrajaya. Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib and [tag]Tourism[/tag] Minister Datuk Azalina Othman were among the VVIPs present. Mahathir Lokman and Cheryl Samad were the MC for the evening and they were working together great as a team. Armed with a camera and tripod, I hoped to capture some photos of the most colourful event in [tag]Malaysia[/tag].
I have only tasted Haagen Dazs‘ ice cream once! And the very reason I got to eat at Haagen Dazs is because my brother got an unexpected bonus for his good performance at work. To be honest, Haagen Dazs’ [tag]ice cream[/tag] is really expensive and it is not something I’d eat very often. Even a single scoop cost like RM9 already. We do buy a pint of Haagen Dazs ice cream once in a while. But my mom and sister would finish it before I could even have a spoon lol. And since it was my brother’s treat, we chose to have the chocolate fondue!
