Malaysia Food Blog, Malaysia Travel Blog

BM Kia says..
As I read through my blog posts for 2008, I found most of them are restaurant related reviews. I think this is deviating from my original purpose of food blogging, which is to discover and promote local foods, especially hawker fares. If not, it wouldn't be fit to be called "Malaysia Food Blog" So, my main aim of blogging for year 2009 would be to continue to do what I actually enjoyed the most - to travel, discover and promote cheap and tasty food.

Baskin Robbins Handpacked Ice Cream, enjoy 31% discount on every 31st

Posted by: vkeong In: Food and Drink| Snack () (35 views)

Today is the 31st. So, Baskin Robbins is giving out 31% discounts on hand-packed ice creams! Went to Alamanda Putrajaya earlier this afternoon to get hold of the great offer.

baskin robbins ice cream

We had a pint (350gm) of Baskin Robbins ice cream consisting of Chocolate Mousse Royale and Jamoca Almond Fudge flavors. My favorite flavor Peanut Butter ‘n Chocolate was finished :( Just FYI on the flavors we chose, taken from Baskin Robbins’ website:

  • Jamoca® Almond Fudge - We combine our Jamoca® (coffee) ice cream with a chocolate fudge ribbon and roasted almonds for a combination that’s been a classic
    since 1959.
  • Chocolate Mousse Royale® -Milk Chocolate mousse ice cream combined with chocolate flakes. Introduced in 1981.

Yumm.. chocolate + coffee.. tastes like mocha lol. Those chocolate flakes and roasted almonds goes damn well with the ice creams!

I hope they will extend the offer to the rest of the menu like banana split, sundaes and beverages. If they really do that, that heavenly looking banana split would be the first on to eat list lol.

A pint costs RM23.50, after 31% discount it’s RM16.20. After including the government tax it would total up to RM17. It’s quite a nice indulgence for once in a while, don’t you think? So, did you have Baskin Robbins ice cream today? It’s still not too late to take advantage of the offer now, go go go!

Brings back so much memories while I was in Form6/Uni days. Everytime they have this offer, we’d raid BR and ordered pint/quartz/whatnots. Still rmbr there was once when 3 of us shared a half gallon (I think, its the 2nd largest form on offer) and ate the whole thing there and then! Haha… people were looking but who cares? :)
