Flower Photography @ Rose Valley, Cameron Highlands

If you are going to Cameron Highlands, I highly recommend paying Rose Valley a visit. Located minutes from Brinchang town, it is basically a beautifully landscaped rose farm with hundreds of rose varieties. Anyway, I spent my Christmas at [tag]Cameron Highlands[/tag] a few weeks ago and these are some photos from my visit to [tag]Rose Valley[/tag]. Obviously, this is not a food related post and the photos are of huge sizes. So yeah you’ve been warned lol.
I will try to write more about [tag]Rose[/tag] Valley if I have the time. If I do, it will be a long post because Rose Valley is huge and one could easily spend a few hours admiring the flowers and taking photos. But for those who are in a hurry, a quick tour can be completed within twenty minutes.
Well, to be honest I am not quite satisfied with my results, I am sure I could do better.. especially on my composition. It’s going to be a year since I owned a dSLR, and I am still a noob lol. But, if compared to my previous effort at the KL Orchid Farm, I think I did a little better. I wonder when would be my next trip to another flower park, hmm.

vk: Hi, I think you’re using a compact camera, which functions a little differently from a dSLR. I can’t zoom in as close as a compact cam because my lens’ focal length is 50mm. But yeah I know what you’re getting at.. I gonna need a macro lens (1k++) to take nicer photos

Hi VK, Close, the Fuji Super Zoom S700 is some where inbetween a DSLR and a Compact. It is shape like a DSLR, but you cannot interchange the Lens, You have some control, but not all the control of a DSLR. You get a bit of both worlds, The camera focal length is some where 25mm to 250mm (it has a 10x zoom built in) I got this (recon) model as my pocket is not big enough for a DSLR and all the equipments you will need. Wonderful flower pictures. After seeing these beautiful flowers and reading your post I am surely going to make a visit to Rose valley at Cameron Highlands. Last time I had been to Cameron highlands but it was a very short trip. Just read few of your posts & all of them are good. Great job!!
