Penang Jawa Mee Kepong

Penang Jawa Mee @ Kedai Kopi Five Five Five, Bandar Menjalara Kepong

Due to my new business venture, I have been eating around Kepong a lot more recently. I thought I had discovered all the great food nearby but boy, how wrong was I. In the recent weeks alone I have found new spots for delicious yet affordable hawker food such as fish head noodle, claypot chicken rice, Char Koay Teow, Jawa mee, chicken rice and duck rice.

One of the better Jawa Mee I have had in KL is at Kedai Kopi 555 located near Bandar Menjalara’s jogging park. The stall is operated by an elderly Chinese couple from Penang and everything about their noodle from the thick and flavorful gravy to the spicy chili paste to the crunchy prawn fritters taste wonderful with the unmistakenbly Penang taste.

Price wise it is very reasonable as well at only RM5 for a regular portion with extra prawn fritters. However, I am not sure if the price will remain because most hawkers I talked to confirmed they’d be increasing their prices as soon as CNY is over.

Restoran 555 famous of nothing to eat and nothing special there except the curry me. I had never try this jawa mee b4, must give a try on next time.

Have u try Jawa Mee at Kepong Maluri Pasar, if not mistaken they start to sell at 3 something in the afternoon. That place easy to locate as Kepong Maluri pasar is very small. Shall give a try on your next visit.

You should give Green Tomato Cafe a try! Other than good food, there are exciting activities that you can do too, like batik colouring and latte art! The place itself is calming. If you need to get your mind off things/stress, this is the place to be! :)
