**note: BBQ-K increased their price as of June 4 2015
Good food with friendly service coupled with eat all you can at a reasonable price make BBQ-K a must visit for those who love Korean barbecue. For RM45 you are free to stuff yourself silly with chicken, beef, pork, seafood and many other dishes – mainly of Korean and Japanese variation. For the same amount money, you usually get only one or two plates of meat at the regular Korean restaurant. So it’s pretty much a steal.
Now one thing before you hop on your car and drive to Solaris Mont Kiara, please make sure you have made a reservation especially if it’s the weekend. BBQ-K gets filled up quickly and walk-in customers could be seen lining outside for a spot to eat during peak hours.

The buffet bar is simply divided into two sections, one for pre-cooked dishes and another for barbecue related ingredients. The pre-cooked stuff did not really appeal to us because we were there for the barbecue. If it makes any difference to you, at least they tasted alright from the minor samplings we had.
A great selection of marinated meat, seafood and vegetables is provided but they do tend to be grabbed up by the customers so the trays always look kind of empty. Well, the good thing is they get refilled quickly so don’t fret if your favourite pork belly is not there.
Four different sauces are provided. I particularly liked the “Really Spicy” sauce which went well with almost every meat available here. If you are wondering, it’s not really as spicy as claimed.

Among the marinated meat we had, the pork no matter shoulder or belly hands down was the best. For non-pork, the whole chicken thigh is highly recommended – juicy, tender and succulent.
The restaurant was still quite empty on a Friday evening around 7pm as seen above. But all of that changed simply minutes later. The place was filled with so many people that even the entrance and staircase were blocked, no kidding. So, do yourself a favour by either coming early or by making a reservation first.
Unless there’s a change in the management (the ladyboss is such a friendly person) or something screwy unexpectedly happens, I highly doubt you won’t enjoy your meal at BBQ-K. Anyway, do check out their FB page for the latest update in price. Mine’s only accurate on the date of posting.
