The main reason we came to Come Eat Lok Lok was because they were offering lok lok at RM1 per stick. At that time, it seemed like a deal too good to pass up. Although the food was not great, we had one of the oddest (in a good way) dining experience here so I guess it’s worth it for the sake of memory.

Come Eat Lok Lok also reminds me of another lok lok restaurant we went in Penang close to 10 years ago. They were also selling at RM1/stick but most of it is processed food like hot dogs, seafood tofu and meat balls.
One good thing about this place is that at least you can find some real food here such as mini scallops, cockles, bacon and a couple of snacks and side dishes. That being said, do note that some of the more expensive ingredients are skewered with 2 sticks, meaning they cost RM2 instead.
If you ask me, of course the lok lok lorries that sell at cut-throat prices are tastier with nicer dipping sauces. But I think there’s no harm giving this restaurant a try as I could see that they are doing an honest business.
As for the soup, I have to agree with most of the FB reviews that their clear soup is almost tasteless. The sauces are decent though, and we prefer the satay sauce more than anything else.

For something more satisfying, try their fried chicken wings and stir fried lala – they are actually quite delicious if you could look past their simple and plain presentation.

Overall, an OK place to have a light meal or supper since they are open till midnight.
