Few weeks ago we celebrated Mother’s Day at Italiannies 1 Utama. The Mother’s Day promotion entitled every mother’s main course to a discount, with the percentage set according to her age. This simply means that if the mother’s age is 40, she would receive 40% discount on her main course.
Italiannies’ Caesar Salad @ RM19.90, served with toasted croutons. It didn’t look appealing because of the salad’s pale looking color but luckily it still tasted pretty good, albeit the rather salty dressing.
Lamb Shank @ RM39.90, surprisingly labeled as a NEW! dish in the menu. Hmm… and I thought Italiannies had Lamb Shank all the while. It was top notch with nice, meltingly tender meat bursting with flavor – highly recommended.
My Cafe Latte @ RM5.80, I forgot to mention I wanted the cold one lol.
The addictively delicious Pepperoni Pizza @ RM30.90, topped with beef pepperoni, mozzarella cheese and shaved onions. The pizza came in large portions, enough to serve at least three people.
The crust was thin and crunchy, just the way I love my pizza. Just make sure you enjoy it while it is still warm to avoid having to eat soggy pizza base.
Lastly, the most expensive dish of the meal – Grilled Salmon Oreganato @ RM44.90. Needless to say, this dish was intended for our very special person that night. It’s a pity I don’t take cooked salmon anymore but according to the people who finished it, it tasted great especially the vegetables the grilled salmon was sitting on.
Too bad the side, rosemary potatoes turned out to be the fly in the ointment of the dish because it was too salty, just like the Caesar Salad.
Compared to my previous visit, the meal was a great improvement despite a busy service due to Mother’s Day celebration. And to be honest, after my first visit I was a bit hesitant to return to Italiannies again. But the Lamb Shank and pizza were good enough to guarantee future visits.
looking good!! but the prices are so exorbitant..esp that Caesar salad..RM20 for veg?

the pizza is looking good
Your experience at the 1U branch seems a bit like a disappointment. I went to Gardens one. It was not bad at all. The dishes were served as they were meant to be, although the full house. Grilled Salmon Oregganato was sold out though :(
which main coarse can recommend to me for my dad, just want to bring him to have a dinner on fathers day!! he cant really take cheese, almost all old fashion uncle is like tat!!
vk: Hi senora, the lamb shank was pretty good for me. maybe you can ask him to try that
i still think the food is here not worth the money..

I’ve been to Italiannies a few times and I like this place quite a lot. 40% is a great deal but too bad my mother don’t take Italian food. We usually order pizza there, would try their lamb shank next time! :)

Nice shots. Any reason for not taking cooked salmon?

Woah, looks so cheesy the pepperoni pizza, and <3 lamb shank! Gonna try it out.
Lamb shank looks good, as does the pizza. But I’m still dubious about Italian food in a Malaysian megamall.
