Yesterday, I attended the official launch of Sakae Sushi‘s CNY Treats and Salmon Yee Sang at Paradigm Mall. The 2015 Lunar New Year is upon us and I am pretty sure many of you’d be celebrating the coming Goat Year by having Yee Sang, tossing it high hoping to bring in auspicious luck.
Sakae’s Fortune Salmon Yee Sang is available in two options: Success (for 1-2 pax) @ RM29.80 and Money (6-8 pax) @ RM49.80. For takeaways, gatherings or gifts, the Yee Sang comes in an attractive, easy to carry packaging box.
This year, Sakae Sushi’s Japanese-inspired Fortune Salmon Yee Sang is prepared by using thick slices of fresh air-flown salmon. And of course, what’s a Yee Sang without the colourful accompaniments of seasoned jellyfish, scallop, seaweed, radish, sesame, crunchy crackers and sweet dressing?
Sakae’s citrus-infused sauce does not taste excessively sweet and complements the ingredients well without overpowering the overall flavour.
Many times in the past most of the Yee Sang we had went unfinished after the fish slices are picked off simply because the dressing was too sweet. This time around we managed to finish a good portion of it since it was more tangy and refreshing than just plain sweet.
To add to the celebration, a Lucky Bag Giveaway promotion will be held as well where customers could dine, collect (8 stamps) and redeem an exclusive Lucky Bag. Last but not least, Sakae Sushi capped off their ‘Gift of Love’ campaign with a cheque presentation ceremony at Paradigm Mall. Launched in conjuction with Sakae’s 17th anniversary last year, the campaign was a success, as they managed to raise a total of RM20,000 in donations which was channeled to Hope wordwide Malaysia. It’s alwyas good to know that companies like Sakae has a strong commitment to CSR and supports charity causes.
