Amazing crackling on the suckling pig, love it.
Next, an array of creative dim sum shaped in various Disney characters. The characters themselves are good indications of what are used as the stuffing for the buns. For example, you would have expected barbecue pork in the Three Little Pig buns while the Little Green Men from Toy Story have a mixture of pork and vegetable instead.
Also, some Seafood Glutinous Pancakes taking shape of Mickey Mouse.
This would be my favorite of the lunch – Braised Seafood Soup with Mickey’s Shape Pumpkin. The soup is really flavorful because they really do not skimp on the amount of seafood. There are plenty of scallops, prawn and crab meat that you could taste in every sip. And the starchy texture makes it feel like having Shark Fin Soup but without having any shark fin in it.
Wok-fried Shrimps and Disney Root Vegetables, the butterflied shrimps, sea-fresh with a crunchy bite were delicious.
Some rice to fill the tummy – Baked Tasmanian Crab Meat Fried Rice in Whole Crab Shell. This is probably the highlight of the lunch for the simplest reason. The fried rice is served in a whole shiny, golden crab which in fact is quite heavy and weights at least 2kg. The dish not only looks great but tastes delicious too. Like the rest of the dishes, the restaurant is generous with the ingredients so you could expect a lot of crab meat that comes in chunk size.
Lastly, Chilled ‘Mickey’ Red Bean Honey Pudding and Green Tea Jelly for dessert.
