The Fireworks Show at Hong Kong Disneyland starts at 8pm everyday and it is yet another show you should not miss before you leave the theme park. Crowd starts to grow even 30 minutes before the show, all of them wanting to reserve the best spots to catch and photograph the fireworks. Even though it drizzled for most of the day, the fireworks show still went on.
The fireworks presentation takes place above the Sleeping Beauty Castle. While waiting for the show to start, the castle will be illuminated in different colors.
I think my photo does not do justice to the spectacular fireworks but I can assure you it is quite stunning.
There are not many things left to do at the theme park after the fireworks show besides eating and shopping at the souvenir shops along Main Street USA. You can find a wide range of things to buy here like toys, t-shirts, accessories and food too. I got my nephew a Talking Sheriff Woody (the same one as seen in Toy Story 3) and I can’t wait to see his happy face when I give it to him.
But if you are not planning on buying anything, even admiring the Disney characters in the store front could be quite interesting.
During our trip we stayed at the Disneyland’s Hollywood Hotel. Like the hotel’s name implies, it is a Hollywood themed hotel with an eclectic artistic and design style. The room itself is well equipped and I was impressed with the 35mbps broadband speed we got. That is at least 7 times faster than my Unifi connection lol. There is also a channel on the TV dedicated to show Disney cartoons, albeit repetitive.
We enjoyed the next day even more mainly because the weather turned sunny. We had a blast at the Toy Story Land and joined the crowd in seeing the wonderful Flights of Fantasy Parade. All of these coming up in my next update soon!
