Sun Ming in Cheras is reputed to serve one of the best roast ducks in KL. Their popularity is evident based on the never ending queue of customers at the entrance of the shop. For dining in, you don’t need to queue, just secure a table (sharing is inevitable) and place your order directly with the lady boss.
Roast duck is a must have here and a quarter (lower section) of it goes for RM20. The price is undoubtedly on the higher side but still affordable.
One bite is all it takes to know why Sun Ming’s roast duck is worth queuing for. It meets all the criteria of a delicious roast duck. That said, I won’t go as far to say they are the best in town, definitely one of the better ones though. So if you are passionate about roast duck then you must try this to justify your love for it.
You can’t go home without trying the Char Siew (small @ RM10) here. It’s awesomely good and I actually enjoyed this a lot more than the roast duck – it’s usually the other way around.
Roast pork (small @ RM10) is unfaultable, worth ordering for the sake of variety. Otherwise, I think it’d be a better bet to stick to their signature offerings: roast duck and char siew.

Just like any other famous eatery, the crowd is worse during the weekends. If you can’t afford to wait 30 to 45 minutes for your food, you can forget about coming here. Service wise, I thought it was above expectation considering their fame.
