During my trip to Kuala Lumpur last week, I also visited Pavilion KL in Bukit Bintang. My first impression on Pavilion was huge, grand and very expensive. I don’t think I can afford anything inside lol. And maybe because it was a weekday, there weren’t as much people I expected. Food Republic, the classy food court is almost a dream come true for food bloggers like me, it has almost everything! The exorbitant price is something to think about though. So, I received a comment from J2kfm saying that Nam Heong is not where the original white coffee came from. According to him, Sun Yuan Loong, a coffee shop located directly opposite Nam Heong along Jalan Bijih Timah is white coffee’s origin. Then, I remembered another coffee shop’s name which sounds like this. I went there immediately after my cuppa at Nam Heong. It’s called Sun Yuan Foong. Is there a reason why the coffee shops’ names are so similar here? The competition for the best white coffee is very evident in Ipoh with each claiming to serve the best, lol.

On the way to Kek Lok Si to photograph the beautiful lanterns displayed in the temple during Chinese New Year, Siang Leng and I stopped at Asia Cafe for dinner. I blogged about this rather classy hawker centre before and it has been a year since my last visit. I noticed the oyster noodle stall is not there anymore. A pity because the oyster noodle quite good. We were undecided on what to eat as the foods there don’t seem appealing.. At last we chose to order from Hainan Lou Western Food.
