Nasi Kandar Line Clear located in an alley off Penang Road, between two buildings offers one of the most authentic nasi kandar in Penang. Being in business for nearly 50 years, it is also among the oldest nasi kandar stalls. If you didn’t know, Penang is the place where nasi kandar is born. It has become so famous, that many nasi kandar stalls and chain restaurants are mushrooming all over Malaysia.

If there’s something stopping me from eating nasi kandar, it would be the price. Well, and sometimes being health conscious lol. Most restaurants charge exoribant price of RM6-7 for a simple plate of one meat and two vege. You can be put that worry aside when eating at Line Clear, their nasi kandar is very reasonably priced.

It was a rainy evening, which was also the best time to have something warm and spicy. If it came with soup, that’s even better! So, I searched the Internet for good food around Kepong and I came across this Fish Head Curry stall, Ho-HoBi in Desa Aman Puri. It had good reviews and was also featured in 8TV’s HoChak. I watched that particular episode online and decided to try it because it looked really good! Moreover, Desa Aman Puri is only 10 minutes away. So, there’s no reason not to go!

Penang Road is one of the streets in Penang where food stalls and coffee shops are concentrated at. Among the many great street food that you should never miss are the Penang Road Laksa and Cendol. Heck, your trip to Penang island won’t be even considered complete less you tried them. Try the laksa first for some hot and sour sensation, then indulge in some sweet, cool and refreshing ais kacang or cendol.
