Italiannies Italian Food @ The Curve
Feb 4th
This is about a dinner SL and I had at Italiannies The Curve last year which I didn’t blog about. Well, sometimes I intend for a second visit to consolidate both experiences into a post for the purpose of showing more food. But, [tag]Italiannies[/tag] isn’t cheap so the second visit didn’t materialize.
As a result, my photos ended up collecting dust in my archive folders for more than 6 months lol. It is now or never, please let the photos see the light of the day yeah.
I believe Italiannies need no further introduction to KL people. It is a restaurant well known for serving [tag]Italian food[/tag] with rather generous portions. Their tag line is “So Much, So Good, So Share” indicating that the food portion is huge, taste good and best to be shared among family and friends.

Restoran Kapitan’s Famous Naan and Tandoori @ Lebuh Chulia
Feb 3rd
Seems like quite many people were interested in the Chicken Tandoori photo I put up in my last update. So, I am gonna blog about it first ahead of the rest. Well, to be honest I myself can’t wait to write this post because it is the nicest food I had in my entire Chinese New Year holidays. Kapitan’s [tag]Restaurant[/tag] located at [tag]Chulia Street[/tag] (Lebuh Chulia) is said to serve the best Naan bread and Biryani in town, recommended to me by an Indian friend.
The restaurant is usually full when near to dinner time from 5 to 6 pm onwards. If you’re dining during the peak hours, you may have to wait up to an hour for your food to arrive. The menu is quite extensive offering conventional Indian foods like roti canai, [tag]naan[/tag], biryani, curries, nasi kandar and some Western fares like chicken chop as well. I ordered a teh ais @ RM1.20, which was quite different because of the tea leaves used – nice, aromatic and most importantly not too sweet.
vkeong’s Chinese New Year Eat List – syok ah!
Feb 1st
It’s been almost a week I didn’t update my blog, Chinese New Year mah lol.. give myself a break. Not many people go online and surf blogs during CNY anyway, so I guessed it was no point updating either. But blogging inactivity doesn’t mean the owner stopped eating, lol. Here’s a list of what I have been enjoying during CNY, it’s loooooong.
The first day, went to Taman Sentosa for the famous Dry Hokkien Mee (Hokkien Ta) The noodles are self made and you have to be early to try it. When the self made ones are finished, they will switch to yellow noodles instead which don’t taste as nice. More about this in future updates.
Went to a newly opened restaurant – Yu Lin in Kampung Baru. Their dishes are very nice and cheap. For example, this fabulous Fried Shark’s Fin with Egg cost only RM10!
Had fresh steamed cod fish at City seafood restaurant. RM35 for this air-flown fish.
Bukit Tengah’s famous cendol, next to Peng Bin school. Said to be able to rival Penang Road’s. Only RM1.20 a bowl.
