I have probably driven past Tanjung Malim a few tens of times, but it was only last weekend that I decided to make a quick stopover to check out the town for some grub. Yik Mun is undoubtedly the most popular eatery in town - famous for their homemade steamed buns, coffee and Chinese-Muslim fare.
QQ BBQ Steamboat is a popular hot pot and grill restaurant in Kepong. Our first visit here was a couple years ago and the experience was below par. But a recent revisit showed that the variety and quality of the food have improved, so much so that I'd rank it as one of the better buffet restaurants out there currently.
Before Ah Weng Koh relocated to ICC Pudu, they were one of the hundreds of other food vendors in Imbi Market. Their Hainanese drinks are a bit unique, but there are plenty of coffee shops in town that make equally good Hainanese coffee and tea too.
Admittedly, Ruyi & Lyn is not the cheapest restaurant around. But if you are looking for a new culinary experience and memories that will be cherished for a long time, then you don't need to look any further. The restaurant presents more than just Instagram-worthy dishes, as each of them is a delectable play of Asian flavors.
