Our overall experience at Rosdet Tomyam was good and we can't help but feel impressed by the level of service we got. The waitress who attended to us was polite and all-smiles while our food arrived all at once within minutes after ordering. Forget about the hip and trendy, this is a gem in the heart of KL to visit for a cheap and satisfying meal.
Continuing our food discovery in Kampung Baru, this time we found ourselves at D'Lala Seafood. Compared to the other restaurants within the same area, D'Lala is slightly more upclass and the premise was converted from a traditional Malay house. Our first impression was that "wow, this place is seriously clean!"
Suraya Nasi Kukus, also known as Suraya 2 is the branch of the popular Suraya Seafood restaurant. Both are also in Kampung Baru and located only streets away from each other. The main branch is usually busy so I guess that's the reason they decided to open another branch so close to accommodate more customers.
Well, this is surprising. I did not have the slightest clue that the famous Line Clear nasi kandar will relocate to Kampung Baru after they were ordered to vacate their original premise in Penang. Today is the second day of their operation in the new outlet, so I decided to drop by to check it out. I also read from the news that 70% of the kitchen team has moved here, which include the cook himself.
