Honey Crème, a premium soft-serve ice cream brand from Taiwan opened their first outlet in Desa Sri Hartamas next to Mei about 3 months ago. This Korean-inspired soft serve became insanely popular after making it appeared on various Taiwanese variety shows. Cute and photogenic, no wonder it's a hit especially among the ladies.
It's not hard to see why Mei by Fat Spoon is popular especially among the ladies. The clean minimalist look is a stark difference to most of the cafes that opened up in the recent years. There's nothing fancy, no knick-knacks, no art on the walls and certainly no chalkboard menu here. So you get a large, inviting space to socialize over a cuppa.
While having our dinner at BreadFruits, we noticed that KNK (Kannichikan Yakiniku) across the road was doing abnormally well and customers were arriving in droves. Most of them are Japanese too, so we took it as a cue that it should be good. We returned a week later and enjoyed a satisfying lunch which exceeded our expectations.
BreadFruits is an extremely popular spot for breakfast and brunch in Desa Sri Hartamas that's also notorious for their slower than average service. The first time we were here a year or so ago, we were turned away by the crowd. There was even a line of people trying to get into the restaurant. So we decided to drop by for dinner instead.
Located among the restaurants and bars of Desa Sri Hartamas, Pizza Brava is an affordable find in this upscale neighborhood. The reason I say this is because a regular pizza here is even cheaper than Domino's / Pizza Hut etc. Weekdays set lunch is a steal starting from RM12.90 for 3 courses including a salad or soup, a main and free flow of ice lemon tea. If that's not value then I don't know what is!
