When we toured Europe it was during World Cup 2010 so we got to feel the special atmosphere at every country we went, especially when the home country was playing.
Tourists and local alike enjoying a World Cup game shown in a bakery cafe.
Shops and stalls along the streets.
Gondolas parked along the waterway.
I mentioned Murano Glass earlier. If you are wondering, it is actually a blow glass shaped into various sculptures like animal, cartoon characters, accessories and such. Original Murano Glass is made only in Venice by experienced artists so it would be a wasted opportunity not to buy any. And like any other souvenir shops in Italy, “NO CHINA” is proudly displayed.
Cartoon characters, miniatures and some accessories made from Murano Glass. You will notice that none of them are 100% alike because they are not mass produced but handmade individually.
The Venetian Masks here are very much more beautiful than those we saw back in Florence. So if Venice is on your list of cities to visit you can ignore any Venetian Masks you see along the way. Better get the real deal here.
Sexy pasta, anyone?
