Jeneris by AhRen is a cafe situated near the entrance of Nu Sentral coming from KL Sentral. This strategic location that they enjoy should be the main reason behind their to-go concept aimed at the nearby commuters, working crowd and business travelers. But of course there are still plenty of seats available in the cafe.
Besides coffee and tea, some light snacks such as sandwich and simple hot meals are also available. Currently there’s a cake promotion going on where you could get a slice of cake at half price for any coffee purchased.
Some of the signature drinks here include Salted Caramel Cafe Latte, Speculous Cafe Latte, Yin-Yong Cafe Latte and Rainforest Cafe Latte. Price wise it’s pretty much similar to the other cafes in the city ranging from RM7 to RM12 depending on the size of your drink (8oz or 12oz).
What really caught my attention was the Yin-Yong Cafe Latte, which I found more unique than the rest. It didn’t disappoint and you got to taste the best of both worlds together in a single cuppa. However, the barista’s latte art has much room for improvement.
I had a slice of the Coconut Caramel cake @ RM5.50 (discounted price) It was filled with pecans in the center, sweet on the outside from the coconut flavored frosting with salty caramel on the inside. This strong flavored cake goes well with any unsweetened coffee and tea.
Free wifi is expectedly available and with great speed too. This makes a good spot to chill while waiting for outstation trains.
