I have always wanted to try Lim Fried Chicken (LFC) but even their nearest branch is almost an hour’s drive away for me. Now that they have set up a new branch in SS2, there’s no excuse for me not to drop by anymore.
However, the experience was a disappointment. I wouldn’t say the food is bad, just that the taste does not suit me. Although the fried chicken was huge and crispy, it was one-dimensional tasting – salty and I can think of plenty of other places that churn out better fried chicken.
As for the rice, the sambal was sweet and the entire combination just does not gel well for me.
We also tried the mutton curry which I felt was far below average. The meat was tough and the curry was also sweet tasting, very weird.
In hindsight, luckily I did not drive all the way to Subang or Glenmarie just to try LFC. If you like sweet tasting sambal and curry you might have a different opinion on this place. But for me, it will be my first and last visit.
