One of the latest F&B attractions of Resorts World Genting is Motorino Pizzeria. Hailed as the best authentic Neopolitan Italian pizza restaurant in New York, you will now have the opportunity to dine in this world-famous establishment.
Motorino takes on the look and feel of a refurbished old place but with very little intervention. If you are looking for something not so main stream yet not too trendy, Motorino fits the bill perfectly.
That said, it’s important to set your expectations straight, especially for those expecting the pizza to taste similar to Domino’s or Pizza Hut’s, because they are totally different.
Firstly, a Neopolitan pizza is not meant to be thin and crispy nor it should be loaded with toppings. The diameter of a typical Neopolitan pizza is 12 inches and the portion size is just nice for a person. In other words, it’s not meant to be shared. If there are two of you, it’s a good idea to order two pizzas as not to leave hungry.

As with any good pizza, it’s made to order from scratch with fresh dough, homemade sauces and baked in an actual oven. The entire pizza making process is done in full view of the customers.
But perhaps the most eye-catching feature of the restaurant will be two large pizza ovens which were imported from Naples in Italy. These wood fired ovens are super hot and cooks a pizza in about 3 minutes.
Traditional oar-shaped paddles made from a single piece of wood is also used to make the pizzas. When the pizzas are removed from the oven, it presents a photo opportunity that you really should not miss.
And here are some of the pizza flavors available in Motorino: Cherry Stone Clam (mozzrella, oreganata butter, parsley) @ RM54.
Meatball (tomato sauce, mozzarella, chicken meatballs, basil) @ RM61.
Marinara (tomato sauce, oregano, garlic, extra virgin olive oil) @ RM48.
Aurugula & Bresaola (air-dried beef, mozzarella, parmesan) @ RM64.

Del Popolo (tomato sauce, mozzarella, parsley, olives, onion, cured anchovies) @ RM54. If you notice, the amount of cheese, sauce and toppings are carefully balanced so you get an even component in each bite.
The center is moist due to the molten cheese and sauce so it would taste a little soggy. Like I said earlier, if you are expecting a crispy pizza, you are at the wrong pizzeria.
Besides pizza, Motorino’s menu also offers a handful of antipasti. The roasted chicken wings (3 pcs) @ RM20 are seasoned with olive oil, mint, lemon, chilli flakes and sea salt for a light yet tasty treat. They pack a nice heat too!
And of course there are meatballs too. I highly recommend to get this as they are deceptively tender and delicious. RM26 for a set of 3. Desserts are as limited as they are good, with tiramisu, chocolate cake (torta al cioccolato with custard) and gelato by the scoop or bowl.
Motorino is located at Level 1, Sky Avenue. Operation hours is from 10 am to 10 pm daily.
