But for people who are new to golf, this might be the perfect opportunity to learn more about the game, or simply join in for a good time. Who knows you (or your child) might be bitten by the golf bug and fall in love with the sport?
Street food lovers will be really pumped to know that some of the KL’s top food trucks will be present at the tournament as well. This also marks the KL Food Truck Festival’s debut at this year’s tournament with these participants (in no particular order): Ken’s Food Truck, Cowboys Food Truck, The Malaysian Ninja Truck, Wheeloaf, Burger Giler Power and Thyme Out.
Being mobile, it could be a challenge to track these food trucks as they move around in the capital. But now, you can catch all of them in one place at the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia.
Not only can you expect a variety of mouth-watering dishes encompassing best of the local and international flavours, you will also be delighted to know that each dish will be capped at RM10 each.

If the FB reviews are anything to go by, it seems like Burger Giler Power is a must try for die hard burger fans. Besides the classic cheese and chicken burgers, they are also popular for their handmade meatballs and delicious sides.
Meat lovers take note! Cowboys Food Truck offers a variety of halal American-styled barbecue. Their best sellers include smoked beef brisket, meat platter, chicken wings and sandwiches – all served along with their homemade sauces.
A gourmet food truck that features an ever-changing menu serving mainly Western and European cuisine that’s prepared fresh without any preservatives. To add authenticity to the food, the chef was behind Ken’s Food Truck was also trained in Switzerland, England and Australia.
Nope, they are not the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but they share the same passion for everything Italian especially pizza and pasta. Think BBQ Pulled Beef Hawaiian Pizza, Italian Pepperoni Pizza and Seafood Pasta. Yum!
Wheeloaf pride themselves as the first ever Mobile Gourmet Bakery in town that combines the ambiance of a cafe, freshness of a bakery shop and the mobility of a vehicle. That alone is something you need to see and experience for yourself, don’t you think? And like their name says, expect lots of pastries, sandwiches, bread loaves and dessert tarts to be sampled from this unique food truck.
6. Thyme Out KL
Fancy something lighter but delicious? Thyme Out may have the fix for you. Thyme Out is a Mexican food truck that serves up some of the most amazing nachos, tacos and wraps in town – all complete with a friendly and accommodating team of staff.
Besides catching your favorite player hit it around and grabbing a grub, there’s also a whole lot of other things to do for a fun-filled family day out. The Courtyard is complete with a Players Corner where you will get to meet the stars of LPGA Tour and there’s even more food to be had here.
The beautiful and extremely talented Patricia K will be spinning tunes to keep you entertained while you mingle around with newly made friends at this social hub and meeting point.
A Family Zone situated by the pool lets you and your kids enjoy a range of fun activities like the swimming pool chipping contest and face-painters. Or you could simply relax and chill out on a bean-bag by the fans and just immerse yourself in the carnival-like atmosphere.
And for the early birds, there are freebies for you to take home including a complimentary umbrella and free Magnum ice cream. Be quick though as these goodies are only limited to the first 3,000 ticket purchasers.
