If you are going up to Cameron Highlands via the Simpang Pulai road, the Strawberry Moment Dessert Cafe would be the first noteworthy landmark. Unless you’re in a hurry, this neat looking cafe is worth a stop for either a quick snack or simply just hanging around.
There are a couple of other minor attractions attached to the cafe as well, namely the Green View Garden, Avant Chocolate shop and House of Lavender. So given quite a number of things to see and do here, you’d easily spend an hour or two here.

The cafe serves predominantly a great selection of strawberry related cakes and desserts with some Western dishes. From what we observed, they actually use the strawberries they plant on their own for the food. So I am guessing those unsold strawberries would end up in the cakes or frozen later to make smoothies.

We had a set meal consisting of strawberry salad and strawberry juice. One thing that I think they do well is that they present their food well and that definitely improved the overall experience. While the strawberry juice was nothing special, the salad was fresh and quite nice albeit tasting a tad too sweet from the dressing.

The Strawberry Strudel looked so good that we could not resist ordering one. The light and flaky crust shattered into cripsy pieces as it was cut with a fork and you could even hear the snap. Since there was no additional sweetness added, the strudel had a natural tartness from the strawberries which was balanced by a subtly sweet cream.

Next to the cafe is the Green View Garden, it has a strawberry farm and hydroponic farm. A few farm animals reside here too.

At the House of Lavender, the coulourful doors and a small plot of purple lavender are the perfect backdrop for memorable photos. This area has a very Taiwanese feel to it.

Besides shopping for perfume, instant beverage and body care products made with lavender, you should also try their homemade lavender flavoured ice cream. It’s not Haagen Dazs quality and the ice cream’s texture was quite coarse, but I’d be lying if I said we did not enjoy it.
