Japan-based Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Ltd has opened its second ISETAN THe Japan Store in the world in Kuala Lumpur. FYI, the first store was opened in Paris. This spanking new store offers Japanese specialty goods and aesthetical products from more than 200 Japanese brands.

Personally, I welcome the opening of ISETAN The Japan Store in KL. Hopefully it will help to put the glitter back to Bukit Bintang, which has been looking somber for the past few years.
At ISETAN The Japan Store, you will shop in a uniquely atmospheric environment accompanied by the warmth and hospitality of Japan. The 11,000 sq.-meter department store spans 6 floors, each with a theme of its own and offers the following:
4F: The Table – premium dining outlets which will open in 2017
3F: The Cube – bookstore, photo lounge, motion graphics etc
2F: The Room – products made with Japanese materials and technology to enhance your daily life
1F: The Studio – experience Japan’s fashion live
GF: The Museum – A mix of Japan’s rich fashion, art and culture
LGF: The Market – experience the seasonal flavour of ISETAN’s famed food market

Among all, what really excites me is the abundance of food and drink available. Expect to see plenty of Japanese and Western confectioneries, snacks, seasonal fruits, vegetables, seafood and meat flown in directly from Japan.
In fact, about 500 of the 820 brand stores are making their first appearance in Malaysia. So if you love Japanese products and culture as much as I do, this would be a paradise for you to explore for hours.

ISETAN The Japan Store Kuala Lumpur is now open at LOT 10 Shopping Centre, 50 Jalan Sultan Ismail, 50250 Kuala Lumpur. For more photos of the store, you can view them in the album in my Facebook page.
